Mnshan Tian was a fertile breeding ground for local stories and legends for thousands of years. It was believed in the past that the "Heaven's Gate" and the mountains in China's Hunan province just south of the city of Zhangjiajie. And the fairy scenes but the roads to them are scary twists and kinks and is definitely not for the faint-hearted.
The road twisted 10 km called serious tongan (or avenue towards the sky) and took eight years to build and was opened in 2006 and has 99 turn symbolizing the nine sky palaces. And highest point rises 1300 metres above sea level. And heaven's gate can be reached directly from the city using carriages (funicular) and is the longest cable car in the world, with a length of 7,455 meters.
